The Ericksonian Model and Ambiguity

Milton Erickson influenced modern hypnotherapy more than almost any other man in the 20th century.  One of the principles that Erickson noticed is that people tend to access trance more easily when ambiguous language is used.  This means that the more general and vague language patterns are used, the more readily we enter trance.
