HOW THIS WORKS

What This Is — and What It Isn’t

✓ WHAT THIS IS:

✓ Collaborative — you and I work toward a goal you set

✓ Focused attention, fully awake and in control the whole time

✓ More than one tool, matched to what you’re working on

✓ Real work at the root of the pattern, not just talk about it

✗ WHAT THIS ISN’T:

✗ Being “put under” or controlled

✗ A magic one-session fix

✗ Someone doing something to you while you sit passive

THE REAL PROBLEM

Why Trying Harder Hasn’t Worked

If logic and willpower alone were enough, you’d have changed already. You’ve probably tried — pushed through, talked yourself out of it, promised yourself this time would be different. And the old pattern has come back anyway.

That’s not a character flaw. Logic and willpower are a good start, but they just don’t address the whole problem. The reactions you’re trying to change — the craving that fires before you decide, the dread that shows up before you’ve said a word — don’t obey the rules of logic or conscious thought. They run underneath it, automatically. Both logic and willpower are useful, just not the only tools you need.

That’s the whole point of working with hypnosis. It’s how we reach the automatic reactions that willpower can’t — not by trying harder, but by working where your patterns actually live.

WHAT TO EXPECT

What Actually Happens in a Session

Here’s what really happens when you work with me:

1. We Talk First
I learn about what’s been weighing on you, your triggers, and what you’ve already tried. This is collaborative — you guide the direction.

2. Settling In
You get comfortable (your couch works great for virtual sessions). I guide you into a calm, focused state of attention — not necessarily deep, just settled and present. You stay aware and in control the whole time.

3. Subconscious Work
In that focused state, we work directly with the patterns you want to change. This is where the real change happens — at the source.

4. Emergence and Integration
You return to full alertness. We discuss what came up, and I give you a recording to reinforce the work between sessions.

Total session time: about 50 minutes.

How to Keep Momentum Between Sessions

When it fits the work, I’ll give you a recording to reinforce the session, and simple techniques to use on your own between visits. Some sessions call for that; others — especially deeper release work — are best left to settle on their own. We’ll do what serves your progress, not a checklist.

Real Stories, Real Change

★★★★★

“Best year in my marriage and business. I started going to his free seminars about a year ago… I went to a private session where he guides you through various ways of overcoming obstacles in how you think about problems. I went back and over time he got better and better at helping me. Since then I’ve had the best year in my business and marriage.”

“I came to Will with a pretty big problem: I loved cigarettes, but also wanted desperately to quit. I’d been a smoker for 15 years and had tried quitting over thirty times… Will’s approach was different from my other attempts — instead of feeling like I was forced to ‘give up’ smoking, I felt like I was able to get back into control.”

“Will has been extremely helpful in approaching my healing from a different perspective where so many other modalities have failed.”

A Message from Will

I want to be straight with you about how I work.

My goal is simple: to help you reach the personal and professional goals that matter to you. You are the expert on your own life. I am the guide who helps you get where you already want to go.

I know what it is like to need a change and not be able to make it happen on your own. That is part of why I do this work. So when we work together, we work together — collaboratively, at the pace the change actually needs. I bring the tools and the experience. You bring the direction. And I am committed to the process with you, all the way through.

If that is the kind of work you are looking for, I would love to talk.

MEET YOUR GUIDE

Meet Will

I have spent over 17 years helping people create real change in their lives, with more than 20,000 one-on-one sessions and 3,000+ individuals across North and South America. But numbers do not tell the real story.

What matters is this: I understand what it feels like when nothing you’ve tried has made a lasting difference. Back in 2005, I was dealing with debilitating daily headaches that nothing seemed to help. That is when I discovered hypnosis — and it changed my life. That experience lit a fire in me to study hypnosis seriously and help others create meaningful personal change.

The backbone of what I do often weaves hypnosis into the session. And yet, the point is not to hypnotize you — the point is to help you reach your goals, using the right tool for YOU based on your unique response and the work at hand. Sometimes that means weaving several methods together. The main ones I draw from are hypnosis, mindfulness, NLP, and meridian tapping — more about these below. I am based in Ogden and work with clients virtually, anywhere you have an internet connection. Whether you are down the street in Salt Lake City or across the country, I can help.

THE TOOLKIT

The Four Modalities

Hypnosis — Modern and Collaborative

Older-style hypnosis is authoritarian and scripted — “you’re getting sleepy,” done to you. That’s not how this works. I work alongside you, collaboratively, toward a goal you describe. For you: you’re not “put under” or run through a script. You stay awake and in control, working with me to reach the automatic reactions willpower alone can’t budge — so change happens at the source.

NLP — Modern and Practical

Modern NLP is a practical toolkit: getting clear on what you actually want, working with the values and beliefs underneath it, resolving the inner conflict and self-sabotage that keep you stuck, shifting how a situation feels through reframing and imagery, and anchoring new responses so they hold. For you: we don’t just talk about change — we build the internal structure that makes it real and makes it last.

Mindfulness — Dealing With Difficult Thoughts

Present-moment focus, a genuine kindness toward yourself, and the ability to unhook from difficult thoughts and feelings instead of being pulled around by them. For you: the work doesn’t end when the session does. You carry a way of meeting the hard moment — the craving, the dread, the spiral — right when it shows up.

Meridian Tapping — Letting Go

Gentle tapping on pressure points while you focus on what’s bothering you. It works by helping you face the feeling in a calmer state and settling your body’s stress response. For you: when something is held in the body and not just the mind, this gives us a physical way to loosen it.
Everyone needs a unique approach. We work together to tailor the tools to match your needs and preferences.
SIMPLE PROCESS

Three Steps to Change

1. 15-Minute Consultation

We discuss what you’re working toward, what you’ve tried, and whether this is a good fit. By appointment. Come ready to show up and learn what’s possible.

2. Your Sessions

Sessions happen in my Ogden office or virtually — anywhere you have a good internet connection and a quiet space to focus. When it fits the work, you get recordings and techniques to use between sessions.

3. Tools That Stay With You

This is where the work settles in. You leave with skills and, when it helps, recordings — so the change keeps building after our time together.
QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Common Questions

What is hypnosis, and how does it work?
Hypnosis isn’t sleep and it isn’t relaxation — it’s focused attention, like being absorbed in a great book. You stay aware and remember everything. In that focused state, your mind becomes more responsive to a new suggestion, which is how we reach the automatic reactions that willpower alone can’t budge.
Is hypnosis safe?
Yes. Hypnosis is a natural and pleasant process. You stay aware and in control the whole time.
What can hypnosis help with?
People come to work on all kinds of everyday challenges — stress, sleep, confidence, habits like smoking, weight, and the patterns that quietly get in the way of what they want. Every person is different, and we shape the work around your goals.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the person and the goal — everyone is different. That’s exactly what the 15-minute consultation is for: we talk through what you’re working on, and I can give you a realistic picture of what the work looks like for you. I won’t guess at a number before we’ve talked.
Can anyone be hypnotized?
Most people can. Hypnosis is a natural state of focused attention that nearly everyone moves in and out of every day — our goal is to teach you how to do hypnosis on purpose, to guide your mind towards something you want to change. How deeply someone goes varies, and that’s completely normal.
Do virtual sessions work as well as in person?
They work 95 percent as well for most people. What you lose in effect, you gain in convenience. The work happens in your mind, not the room — so a quiet space and a good internet connection are all you need. Most of my clients work with me virtually, from across Utah and around the world.
Can I continue my medication or other care while doing this?
Absolutely. This work is meant to complement the rest of your life, not replace anything. I’m not a medical provider and I don’t advise on medication — that stays between you and your doctor. What we do here works alongside your other care.
Why work with you rather than another hypnotist?
Two reasons. First, how I practice — collaborative and modern, not the old scripted “you’re getting sleepy” style. Second, experience: 17+ years and more than 20,000 one-on-one sessions. But the real answer is the 15-minute consultation — book an appointment so we can get to know each other and make sure there’s a good fit.

Ready to Get Started?

You’ve read how the work works. If it sounds like the kind of change you’re looking for — collaborative, real, and built around your goals — the next step is simple.

15 minutes gives us enough time to get to know each other and make sure I can help.
