Is Chronic Pain Controlling Your Life?
Have you become a slave to pain? Is it controlling your every thought and preventing you from sleeping at night?
Do you want relief?
New research shows that when you learn to retrain your brain you can significantly reduce your chronic pain.
In a light and easy-to-understand way, this five-minute video, produced by the New South Wales Government talks about how retraining your brain can affect your chronic pain.
How do I learn to retrain my brain and get relief?
The first step is to make sure that the source of your pain has been properly diagnosed by a licensed medical doctor, but if you are like most people with chronic pain, your pain was diagnosed long ago and you have tried everything to deal with the pain and you are still looking for answers.
After your pain has been properly diagnosed, our office contacts your doctor to make sure that there isn’t a medical reason not to retrain your brain with hypnosis.
Once your doctor replies, you can learn to retrain your brain with hypnotic-mind-based-stress-reduction tools so that you can start to get relief. Many of my clients are surprised to learn that they can begin to get relief from their persistent pain in less than an hour of retraining their brain.
While hypnosis is not a cure for the structural origins of the pain, you can learn to change the relationship that your mind and body have with the pain. Within three-to-five hours of hypnotic brain retraining, most people find that they have learned to change the relationship that their mind and body have with the persistent pain in a way that allows them to sleep better and to do more.
In 2005, one of my main motivations for learning self hypnosis, before I became a professional hypnotist, was to learn to get relief from fairly persistent tension headaches. After several hours of self hypnosis training, I found that within five to fifteen minutes I could reduce or eliminate my tension headaches when they emerged.
